Absolute pleasure to stay here. The room was beautiful, we went for the four poster room and it was well worth it. The decor is classic and well kept. The shower was glorious! Breakfast was full English and they were happy to tailor things to our tastes, plus it was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Other than just relaxing in front of the lounge fireplace or sat in the 'sun trapped' beer garden whilst drinking and eating, you are only a 5 minute walk from the main town of Matlock.

The Red Lion is also only 5 minutes drive from Matlock Bath, Heights of Abraham, Cromford mills, Crich tramway museum. Also 10 min drive from Bakewell, Chatsworth house.
